Welcome to the LSSC

Hello and welcome to the website of Lone Star Schutzhund Club (LSSC). We are based in Hutto, Texas, which is 25 miles northeast of Austin. We are a full member club of The United Schutzhund Clubs of America, and we belong to the South Central Region. Our members are dedicated to promoting and preserving true working characteristics seen in a Schutzhund dog. Our club is primarily made up of working line German Shepherd dogs, but any dog with correct temperament is welcome to participate.

Our members are passionate and dedicated to the Schutzhund sport. Our members have experience levels ranging from first time novice handlers to members that have qualified and competed on the club, regional, national and World Championship levels in competition. (Find out more under our members section) Although we are a serious training group, we enjoy each other's company and most of all, we love spending a lot of quality time training and hanging out with our dogs!

If you have interest in this exciting sport, we encourage you to contact us for information on training times. We encourage you to visit all of the local clubs to see if Schutzhund is a good fit for you and your dog, and to see which club best suits you. Schutzhund is very time consuming and we insist that our members participate in all facets of the sport, attend regular training sessions and club functions, participate in trials, and most of all be able to fit in with our group.
